Last night I took a call from a gentleman
who told me his system was completely down.He mentioned he knew of SAE but his installation
didn’t own it.He
knew SAE was the only product that could help him.He was able to download SAE and I instructed him to FTP
the file to the network device that he was attempting to IPL
from.He received
an error message stating that the files were not found.I asked him if he could contact someone at another data
center who would help him run the SAE Tape Build Program.He did.A few
hours later he called back, saying he had a tape.I walked him through the SAE IPL and he was immediately
able to make the changes he needed using SAE to IPL his
system.You
should have heard the excitement in his voice when he saw the
SAE screen come up to allow him to fix his problem.He thanked me profusely and said he would call me back when
things were back to normal.Once again, SAE saved the day.
