FDE Evaluators:
The SAE, Stand Alone Environment, enables five
components of the SAE Disaster Recovery Tool
Set described below Fast DASD Erase is but one
of those tool that can be evaluated and
licensed separately. If you would prefer to evaluate
the complete tool set, which we highly
recommend, do so by
requesting an evaluation key for The
Stand Alone Environment (SAE). |

Action
Services: Provides
complete access to all DASD
devices and datasets. Its
interface is modeled after ISPF.
Users locate critical datasets or
members and use specific Action
Services to make system repairs.
This tool set includes edit, zap,
browse, rename, save, delete,
undelete, and catalog list/alter. |

IPL
Problem Detection:
Aids users in the repair of System
Images by automatically isolating
the components that comprise used
in an IPL and related problems.
The process is almost
instantaneous in identifying the
volumes and datasets under
investigation and construction
errors thru the initialization of
the z/OS nucleus.

Dataset
Restore: This
Stand Alone Restore is the fastest
way to restore a single dataset.
Unlike other backup and recovery
systems that require you to
restore a complete volume, this
application lets you restore a
single dataset or member
originally backed up using DFDSS
or FDR.

Hardware
Confirmation: Adding
new hardware can often lead to
miss-confirmation. This service
will verify that new hardware is
configurations correctly before
bringing an IPL is attempted at
home or a disaster recovery site.

Fast
DASD Erase: Insuring
that test
data is economically removed
following a Disaster Recovery test
is one of the most important steps
in the test process. This service
will erase all mission-critical
and personal data as directed,
thereby safeguarding it from
unwanted use. This is especially
important for compliance with
HIPAA, GLBA, PIPEDA, etc.
