Stand Alone Environment  (SAE) Downloads  

Update Licensed Products or begin an SAE or Fast DASD Erase (FDE) Evaluation.

Downloading SAE or FDE: Select from the download options shown below to update your existing SAE or FDE Licensed Product(s) or to begin an SAE or FDE Application Evaluation.
   
Updating Licensed Products: If you are currently an SAE or FDE Licensee and want to update your product(s), selecting this option will direct you to both product and documentation download links. Licensees that have registered with NewEra Technical Support may optionally elect to download a "Keyed" update. Those not registered must elect to download a "Keyless" update.
  
Beginning an Evaluation: If you are beginning an evaluation of SAE or FDE, selecting this option will direct you to product and download links. Evaluation Downloads require specific z/OS hardware information: CPU Type, CPU Model and CPU Serial Number.
    
IFO Technical Support: If you have questions about the download process or encounter problems along the way, contact NewEra Support by Email.
   
Updating Licensed Products:   Beginning an Evaluation:
Licensed SAE and FDE users can update their product installation or documentation at any time by selecting one of the following:
   

1.
"Keyless" Download: Click Here
   
   A "Keyless" download, sometimes called a "RAW" download, is intended for SAE and FDE users that maintain and update their Licensee Key(s) during product installation.
    

2.
"Keyed" Download: Click Here
   
 A "Keyed" download, sometimes called an "Authorized" download, is intended for SAE and FDE users that registered with NewEra Technical Support and may or may not maintain their Licensee Key(s) during product installation.
   

3.

 "Keyless" vs. "Keyed":
   
A "Keyed" download differs from a "Keyless" download in that it is registered with NewEra Technical Support and your License Key(s) are inserted into the download so that you do not have to maintain your License Key(s) during installation.
 
SAE and FDE Evaluators begin or update their product installation or documentation at any time by selecting one of the following:

The Stand Alone Environment (SAE) provides support for a unique set of z/OS Disaster Recovery Tools. It is fully functional when z/OS is down or otherwise unavailable.
   

2.
Fast DASD Erase: Click Here
   
Fast DASD Erase (FDE) ensures economical, secure data removal following a disaster recovery test or before DASD is used for a backup or decommissioned and returned.
